I don't need one. Heck, I don't even want one. Why Square chose to port THIS game, I don't know. It won't be anywhere near as good as the original (although the translation should be better ).

Square's new subsidiary Game Designer Studios mentioned that they are working on a GameBoy Advance version of Final Fantasy Tactics, the game is scheduled for release in Japan around the Christmas time. Game Designer Studios intends to release 3 to 4 titles for the Nintendo platforms by the end of the 2002 (March 2003). They have also confirmed the development of a new Final Fantasy game title for both GameCube and GameBoy Advance, which allows data synchronization between the two machines.

I assume that the music would not be nearly as good as the PS. Nor would the graphics. Still it is pretty cool.

I would be more of the same...
The only difference is you would able to stick it into your pocket. If you have a large enough pocket to stick a GBA into and don't mind walking around with that big thing in it

Well, I think most of the music in FFT was sinthethized (not XA AUDIO or CD Audio) so, I may guess it is not a great loss, as the GBA can produce fairly high quality audio (ok, not as good as a PSX) but, I don't think overall is a great loss. but for the graphics?? we'll see...

Since the game was essentially the same as Tactics Ogre, which was made for SNES, I would say that an exact port would be possible. And yes, the music is synthesized, making it easy to port it as well.

Now, that is one game that I would for sure, 100% buy for GBA. I cannot think of a game that I would rather have for it. The game lasts forever, and can be played in short breaks. I REALLY want to see this game made. I always did think that FFT would have a better home on the Super Nintendo, and now with the GBA, this can finally be proven.

Chrono Trigger would work, and that was a good game.
I don't know about Xenogears without turning all the gears into sprites, and having a tile based view like ogre

Hmmmmm why is there a reply box unda da page?(Convenience?)
Well I HIGHLY DOUBT THAT SQUARESOFT would be able to port such a great game on the GBA..
Cuz I burned an ISO of it and it was 516 MB!
So ther'll probably be a HIGH LOSS in GRAPHICS and AUDIO.

give Squaresoft a chance, they'll re-release all the game they can which are possible to have on GBA.
its all about the money, and they know those games will sell.

There is no reason FFT shouldn't look and sound great on GBA. Anyone whos played Golden Sun will know the GBA is capable of amazing things when a developer puts some time and effort in to it.
