Actually, their older games all allowed cooperative play, Mass Effect was the first one to not include it. Of course, if you wanted others to control your characters, that was a completely different question back then. With such a focus on story I think that only from NWN it might have been nice to play them with others.

I guess some people like multiplayer more than single player. As for me, I like to play my video games with just myself. The only game that I will play that is multiplayer now is Super Smash Brothers or Pokemon Stadium. But I suppose some people are more social and would like more "real" people to interact with them as they play the game. I think I would prefer that Dragon Age would be single player. But everyone has their own preferences.

There's quite a few non- or antisocial people in multiplayer games, who are actually the reason why I often prefer single player games

Personally I enjoy playing in coop with my GF or with friends the most, it's much more personal to share the fun with someone sitting in the same room. Playing with forum friends or other online friends is still much better than playing anonymously imho. You simply know you can depend on each.

Hehe, yeah that's true. But if I play a game with other people, the game is now not about the storyline and how much you can immerse into it. It's just having a party that's centered around a game. I'm not bashing multiplayer games. This is just how I feel.

When I play a single player game, I am focused on all aspects of the game: storyline, animation and also soundtrack. When I play video games, I like the fact that I can deeply immerse myself in them. So I end up appreciating the game a lot more when I am alone.

Multiplayer can be a lot of fun though, like I was saying, but I just prefer single playing games.

I think the problem is when a game CAN support multiplayer logically, but doesn't.

Unless you happen to know some proper retailer who sells a week before the official release, which isn't that rare anymore nowadays either. Just look up on Borderlands and how people there were crying that their copy didn't work because Securom didn't allow them to play yet.

Another option is that a friend of his downloaded/bought it, meaning he has done no wrong either. It's always a good way of checking, don't you think?

Point is, unless someone here explicitly states he has downloaded something and wants help with it, it won't be supported. It's not the place to be anal and play detective, that's not what the rules are for either. Otherwise we might have closed down the Chankast / Gamecube section and even the screenshot section a long time ago.

I just finished the game... 60 hours gameplay(though i left my xbox afk for at least 10 hours, so more like 50 hours) not all quests but don't really care, 90% explored, but the game says 50% completed when you finish it... like there's another half? -.-

I played like the first 20% on hard, then switching between normal/easy since I hated dieing.

I was an fire/lightening mage with healing.

It's an OK game, it's not that great but it's addicting and the story is pretty good.
The thing I dislike a bit is the combat... It's also a bit like guildwars... Item stats differ minimally, like you start with a 2 damage staff and end with a 5 damage staff... + max level is more like 20+ instead of the usual 99 or more. + alot of skills are garbage, and yes i know how to use them.

Agreed, I still mostly jam on my Sega Megadrive and N64 (I'm actually surprised they still work C

but my younger brother has the Xbox 360 and it's fun to play occasionally. He also has a PS3 and a PC whereas I have the Wii.

Now I don't see a problem between any of them, if you enjoy one then you probably will like it more however, there is no reason to say people lose or are idiots for playing other computer consoles.
