appearently schumi hasnt played the other games from bioware int he past mainly baldurs gate 1 and 2 for pc along with their expansions and icewind dale 1 and 2 and the expansions for those as well. they all have replayability becuase they pack so much into it its immpoissble to go through it all ont he first few playthroughs. and im hoping thats whats going to happen here with dragon age. i still play those old games and theya re still fun even with all the mods out there for them. they even have a couple of mods that let you play baldurs gate 1 witht he baldurs gate 2 engine and one of them lets you continue the story from one to the other

Tried the character maker, and slightly disappointed. I wonder why they followed Witcher's world of racism setting. If you're gonna use that, why not just label all the orcs/goblins as terrorists that need to be purged from the world just because?

Also, trailer was very misleading; one-stab kills and the dragon went down in less than a minute.

Still, gonna buy it as soon as it comes out. Come on, it's from the makers of KOTOR, who wouldn't want to play it. :P

There's really no point in saying all JRPGs or all WRPGs are the same. Some are cliche, and some are not. To say either is just to show bias.

The constant pauses annoy me. I know its from Bioware and this guys know how to make great games but the whole theme looks so generic. I find it boring.

The battle pausing lends itself to a party-based rpg experience. Most bioware games have incorporated this, including KoToR. It's an RPG that makes you really consider tactics for tough fights.

You guys could just play it on the easy difficulty and hack n' slash your way through it if it's such a downer. It shouldn't come as a surprise at all that they let you (not FORCE you to) pause the game, it was the case with their older games, simply because they're inspired from DnD.

But if you guys don't like interruption, you can probably play a melee character just fine. Probably not a Rogue/Thief-like character, but something that is similar to the classic Warrior/Barbarian or even Paladin in DnD shouldn't need much pause when playing.
(As far as I remember, even the normal difficulty in BG2 was pretty fluid for me.)

Rogue/Thief/Ranger characters are my fav i don't really like Warrior's & Barbarian's. Still i ain't necessarily saying this games sux or something like that all i'm saying its not for me. To bad now i don't know what to play :/.

Noja, the constant pausing is up to the player... You don't have to use it... Though it helps a lot in tough battles.

Looks pretty neat, gotta get this when it gets out...

Hey i have good tastes. Morrowind is my second favorite game of all times. Its just that im tired of same old same old Orcs, Giant Spiders, Giant Rats, Trolls and Dragons. Is boring.

I am a jRPG fan and I am excited to try this game out. I loved both Elder Scrolls Morrowind and Oblivion, next tried Fable II, it was ok. Dragon Age Origins sounds pretty epic though.

If you think the jRPG genre is stagnant if you have a 360 try Lost Odyssey. Great game and you could probably find it for cheap like 15-20 bucks anywhere by now.
