I hear it's not part of the Suikoden world. Is that true?

The last game played was DotA.
Though technically not a game on its own, it really should be

8/10
I actually had a good public game.

There is a game based on the same mechanics coming out. I can't remember what it's called exactly, though... Or if it'll be as good.

If you mean the same world of Suikoden I and II. No I don't think it's the same. Don't know about III and IV.

A little bit about the game.

They believe in the infinity, multiple worlds, and there are starbearers, 108 people chosen to fight the One King, who wants to destroy/rule/whatever all worlds.

In this game it's not called runes anymore is mark of the stars.
And I found it kinda strange that I must name my main char, I hate it because they never say his name in spoken cutscenes.

Recruitment is done by completing missions and bringing someone somewhat related to the char you want.

Castle is nice but you can't get decorating items for it, at least I've never found one. Upgrades are automatic as story progresses and by expanding your company.

Story is interesting, although a little bit used, with the army that wants to rule the world and you gotta build your own to oppose it.

Spoiler:
I hate it that they use the overused plot of a friend that betray the hero, and now the hero can't kill it because he has feelings for him.

If that results in a stupid way, I will knock some more points from it.

Yeah... every other Suikoden is in the same world.

I don't get why they created this alternate Suikoden universe. Ah well, I'll get around to playing it eventually.

Currently playing Valkyria Chronicles. So far, 8/10.
If someone would have told me this game felt like a spiritual successor of Shining Force, I would have picked it up a long time ago.

Bloody Roar 3 got readdicted to it with PCSX2 initially i only wanted to test something , i love this game very much (in other words if its just personal i would have rated 9.5/10) but i'll try to rate it impartially though so : 8/10 compared to 2 there isn't really any significant difference except for 2 new characters and graphics.

The lack of runes is very disappointing, good thing the new system is executed well. Hero naming is traditional on Suikoden verse, at least they gave dialogue for him now.

Currently replaying Suikoden V on Pcsx2, excellent game, the only downside I can think of is the relatively easy difficulty and the prince clothes, it bug the hell outta me every time there's cutscene >.<
score? 8/10

I have to play 3, 4 and 5.
I played 3 but didn't finish it, it was really interesting and good.
4 and 5 haven't tried them.

About the names, at least I remember Tir McDohl, from the first one and Riou from the second. Also on 3 they all had names.

.....

I just completed Crysis Warhead a few hours ago, give it 9/10. The original deserves a similar rating.

While the graphics weren't very good, gameplay and the story-line was superb! Overall they're both very good FPS games and one shouldn't avoid Warhead just cuz they've played the original, since it's still very thrilling.
