TMNT: Turtles in Time Remake Official

In E3 2009, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 | Tagged: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled

Rumors of a remake for one of the coolest TMNT titles ever have been circulating around the net as of late, and now Ubisoft has confirmed that it will be releasing a downloadable game inspired by one of the most acclaimed arcade games of all time – Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled. A side-scrolling, four-player action brawler based on the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles In Time Re-Shelled will release on July 22 worldwide exclusively on Xbox LIVE Arcade, and later this year on PSN.

“Given that this is the 25th anniversary ‘shell-ebration’ of the creation of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles property we’re delighted to partner with Ubisoft to release an updated version of the hugely popular Turtles in Time arcade game,” said Gary Richardson, CEO of Mirage Studios. “The Turtles have fans of all ages, and we’re excited to bring the game back to the long-time fans, as well as introduce Turtles in Time to a new generation of gamers.”

Awesome…

I remember having some great fun with this game.

Although by the looks this could have been done some years ago.

Really cannot wait for this one, side scrolling beat em ups are one of my favourite genres and this looks like some old school fun.

Apart from the bloom, it looks like something my Dreamcast could chuck out, why did they have to put PS2-level textures in it?

Yeah i was about to say this looks like something semi-ameteur you'd see on xbox360 live arcade, or some commercial B quality xbox 1 title. But then the texture quality is so low it looks like Power Stone level for the Dreamcast.

Still graphics aren't everything, and beatemups are pretty lacking on the new consoles.

That's an insult to Power Stone, even though I've only played the second one. I doubt this one can come close to the fun of that game. Beating others with a trout never gets old

I once saw a single blank flat shaded polygon and mistook it for powerstone

Spoiler:
j/k j/k I owned a dreamcast and had powerstone but only played the single player and quickly got bored, but i could see why multiplayer couple be fun.

gasp! Kill the blasphemer! =P . You really need to play Power Stone 2 on Multiplayer, its one of the most fun games you will ever play. I had both but my cousin borrowed PS2 and never return it -_-'

what im saying is the original looks better than this 3d crud, it looks like its a n64/psx port, why waste effort on poor 3d graphics when the game graphics were great in 2d.... also note any tmnt game released in 3d were average at best, they are always best in 2d like the cartoon.... anyways ill give this terrible looking game a miss and just play the original on mame

So ugly...

Curse video games companies and their stupid market surveys.
This has seriously become totally stupid, alway forcing over 20 years old 2D game series into ****ty 3D remakes or sequels.

Stop 3D fascism ! 3D doesn't necessarilly fit all games ! Save Castlevania !

This game might look good in motion.. more importantly, I hope it plays well....
