They're moving the games gradually out of solely warfare areas, which makes perfect sense. They're preventing from letting the series stagnate, which after 5 iterations of the same thing is to be expected.

A bold move to say the least, but if there's anyone who can pull it off, its Infinity Ward.

Don't know i for one like what i see it still seems like it will feel like cod only you have an improved world where you got to watch out for whom your shooting and this is just the first stage :P.

I know how Rainbow Six is, but there are so many games that have the ww theme for example and other than that nothing in common. So just being in a Swat team doesn't make it Rainbow Six like.

I found SWAT and Rainbow Six decent shooters. I've found myself playing shooters a lot less these days though. Last two shooters I can remember playing a lot online were CoD 2 and UT 2004. Most of the new ones I have played but really they are starting to get numerous, short and not much change game to game. Also seems like the communities of online fps players jump from game to game pretty quick.

The COD feeling died after 2. 3 was garbage, 4 was ok, 5 is bad. Im getting this one just for the multiplayer.

COD4 was boring most of the time. Only few levels were memorable like the beggining on the ship and the sniper level. I dont remember anything else from the game except for those 2. Unlike COD2 wich was orgasmic the whole way through.

I don't think the entire game's gonna be like that though, look at the 2 screenies in post #43, the locality doesn't look like it'd be inhabited by regular citizens, I hope its just a couple of missions or so that are staged in the middle of a bustling city.

I loved the ship stage at the beginning of CoD4- the cinematic feel and the suspense when the boat was capsizing was amazing. The rest of the game was a let-down in comparison.

Actually all you succeeded in was making me want the game even more....I want to sneak up on these guys whether it be by bad AI or cheats....I don't play these games for a challenge...I just play them to kill lots of people and blow **** up in a more natural manner then being a punk with an M16 and rocket launcher in a populated city (GTA)
Besides if you play this game just interchangeably with Far Cry 2 you will end up with the perfect balance.

As for the bulletproof air and the indestructable tree...been there done that, used to it by now...
