BattleForge Goes Free
BattleForge Goes Free May 26, 2009 @ 11:34am The official BattleForge website has been updated to let us all know that the game is now a Play4Free title. The BattleForge Play4Free Client, which you can download here, offers you complete access to all areas and functionality of the game, including all content updates (new PvP maps, Renegade Campaign) made available since release. Along with all functionality of the game, BattleForge Play4Free includes two decks consisting of 32 cards. You can play any scenario in the game, including the Renegade Campaign. With BattleForge Play4Free, you are also able to purchase Booster Pack and bid on cards in the Auction House. However, you can only offer a card in the Auction House once you have reached level 4 in PvE and level 10 in PvP. Direct trades and sending in-game mail with attachments are also blocked until you reach this experience level. Interested? You can get more details right here. --- And thats what happens when you try to screw gamers. Having to pay real $ for every little thing in the game plus 50$ for the game was just retarded. Went from Full price, to half price to free lol

Well if you get the retail box you'll be having some extra battle points and such stuff, from what I read. You'll start with half the cards, so you'll have a little handicap. But the community was rather desperate for other people to join. It has my interest, but not as much as Demigod.

Its a very simple RTS and a bit faster than the usual. There is the obvious PVP but also PVE. You dont have to wait for your units. You conquer resource spots and summon the units with your cards. Its pretty cool that you can summon them anywhere (as long as they are close to your other units) and dont have to wait. Its pretty simple really. Is not as complicated as Rise of Nations or something like that. In 5 minutes you can learn how the whole game plays. You earn money to upgrade your cards and win cards aswell after every match. But you still have to pay real life $ for Battleforge Points to get booster packs =o You can still earn new cards in battle and trading with other players but it takes a lot longer. Someone who doesnt care about wasting hundreds of dollars can easily rape you -_-' but hey its free now! its only 2.7gb. Download it before it gets shut down oh and loadings ARE BRUTAL
