How good is Warhammer 40000 Dawn of War?

I snagged a copy at a goodwill for $1.50, I was able to use the key, but I don't know if I'll be allowed to play online?

I have just started the tutorial, it looks to be a deep game with good graphics, my PC can play almost everything on high graphics.
