It's because EA has recently laid off a large number of employees. They've at least taken this into account and extended the games' deadlines.

As far as I can tell, Sims 3 and Godfather 2 are delayed to somewhere in June. But I personally don't care that much about them.

Dragon Age was delayed from somewhere in Q1 of 2009 (estimated to march) to somewhere in Q3 of 2009 (so it's probably your average "we're pushing it back 6 months").

Not fun, but if the games weren't ready, I *GUESS* that I can wait... Even more...

Yeah, better that they come out late than they suck. Though I suppose coming out soon and not sucking would be better for them.

Well, if they wanted to, they could just not give us release date estimates at all, and they could do it like Blizzard - they keep us in the dark until the game is just about done.

I personally have patience. If it's not ready, it's not ready. Big deal.

I'm not sure if it's sticking up for EA or just being grateful shoddy products isn't released too early just cashing in on the name alone, Sims 3 could do that, ya know!

I've got a lot more respect for EA lately, they said they would change their attitude and they did. They still release their annual series, but on the other hand they are giving new franchises a chance as well. On top of that they're pushing back games now rather than releasing half finished bug ridden games. If you want to curse a company, go play some Atari stuff. The only thing you can blame EA for is the lovely copy protection.

So well, plenty of great 2008 games to play for which I hardly have time anyway.

WHAT?!? EA is making Mass Effect 2... NOOOO!!!

No, wait its still bioware...*sighs*

I'm seriously thinking about adding EA to my own boycott list, Microsoft is already on it! It means I won't buy any of their products!

Mass Effect had been started long ago, just like Dragon Age, EA probobly just publishes it and has its hand in marketing and the copy protection... I fear for these games for the latter reason. I've given up on boycotting companies, I'd rather make use of then when I need them, rather than blindly follow them. Hence I have a modded PSP in my possession, along with some really good games

Kickass avatar btw Radix.

EA will cut the game in half, releasing the second part 3 months after so thus you wait and pay double for the full game.

duke nukem forever.

Anyway, I'm a bit patient too... If I weren't, I'd have to buy a 360 to get games sooner.

EA remains a mixed back... NFS Undercover was the first NFS in years not to have a demo, and really, I wonder why.

I guess everyone has game companies they like and not like for particular reasons. I hear Exodus isn't too fond of Sega, personally I have issues with Ubisoft.

Any company that publishes adult-oriented BMX games IS on the verge of collapsing. Wasn't that obvious?

ea is only publishing mass effect, still i expect buggy release that require patches, even with delays and sims3 will be pumped with endless expansions (some of which shouldve been free) that requires payment and probably a dumb copy protection like they did in spore
