Finally. After two long years, new Alan Wake Trailer.
Looks damn good. Hopefully the gameplay will be good too =D

Seems kinda like Siren imho. Graphics look very stunning, though I wonder if it'll be like that in-game.

A new trailer? FINALLY! Not the greatest trailer (and the animations of the characters in-game are kinda rough) but any news from the game is great. I so hope not.

Umm... dark sceneries, night... and... villagers... or people... holding weapons... at the end of the trailer. (you get a flash of their silhouettes)If that ain't an indication that it's a Siren or Resident Evil clone, I don't know what else it can be. Or maybe that part wouldn't be the mandatory thing you do, and... maybe the villagers just get pissed at you for being a psychotic novelist at some point. No idea... but there are indications that this game might end up being a clone of something else done before. And I hope to god it's not. Plus I really wish they would keep that kind of visuals in-game to give an atmosphere. Low-res textures and unrecognizable blobs (due to pixelation) don't scare me.

. It's kinda too vague. (stupid Alan Wake being so elusive )The villagers aren't supposed to be the enemies tho, from what has been said up to now, but they've said so little that it could end up being the case x_x. But from what they said the game is supposed to have free-roaming (in the city and around) so I'm not sure about the villagers being enemies and all, except maybe if they become "something else" at night (which could totally be the case). But I don't really see it being too close to RE (at least, not in gameplay), since REs are usually more linear and turning into a action game. But right now Alan Wake seems to aim for a "atmospheric" game (and less of a survival horror game, which I like, since few survival horrors have been original lately) which is good, and I really like games who bet on having a great atmosphere to tell a story and lure the player into the game. But after all this time maybe they had to make compromise and make it less like what it was supposed to be and go for more cliché/clone stuff, which would be... So sad .

Same here. That's what I've been saying. They have hints all over the place... and while we don't have proofs, we've been too accustomed to these hints. I know it's too hasty to draw anything... but...I kinda wished it was just an atmospheric game... with elements to scare and surprise the hell out of you, but only that. No fighting, no nothing. Maybe some puzzle solving or so. Gosh... we're controlling a friggin' novelist! How in the world...? I mean... "the pen is stronger than the sword?" Why is it that he's not holding a pen but a gun (even deadlier than sword)???

Hmm from what I have read so far. RE (or at least humans VS apparitions of some sort (I mean what else can be harmed by light?)), in a GTA setting (at night/when it's dark obviously), without big guns (but still some), but like MGS4 where you can choose to sneak your way through, or choose to go in guns blazing. Yeah sounds like survival horror to me.

IIRC the story is about him writing a story and everything starts to become real. And the "main" weapon will be light. So my guess is the "action" part will be at nights and the puzzles in daylight. But it could have changed. Has been 2 years with no new info
