OBama ads spotted inside Xbox360 games

Sounds like there's a new revenue stream EA and Rockstar can tap into, in the future.
Anyone found similar ads in games? Reportedly, such ads have been slipped into no less than 18 games.

I remember the day when game developers had to pay companies such as Pepsi to have their logos in the game. Now a days the shoe is on the other foot which means that we as gamers can expect crap like this to do nothing more than annoy us while we carve up another game.

Paing premium for the honor to view ads ingame?
60 dollars might be a little cheap (well, if its not ad-supported, would the 'alternative' be 90 dollars games? ;p )

I myself long for the days of excellent 20 dollars superhits (even back then, people used to complain a lot about unacceptably expensive 30 dollars games)

Those were announced to be US only, and not in every states. But 18 games? I only had heard about like, 4-6, so I dunno... The source I saw possibly had only half of the story.

Anyway, ads like this don't really bother me that bad in games, since they're implemented in a more "natural" way than a pop-up or stuff like that. I'm used to seeing ads in those spots IRL, and if they weren't using real ads they would simply put fake/joke ads (like some devs used to do in the past).

Dunno, guess I'm used to ignoring them in real life, so I don't mind them so much in-games. If those can pay for the cost of the servers and push the publishers to NOT charge me I'm all for it. If they take money from both ads and players I say "F*** the ads". (In this case, I guess they take both, since it's 360 live)

(And it's not like in Battlefield 2142, where you got a HUGE panel announcing something, like a movie or whatever, while we're in a zone completely destroyed BECAUSE THERES A GOSHDARN WAR GOING ON in that area and ect. THAT feels a lot less natural.)
