it has to be, games can't be released on just one platform. It would be bad for business.

It's called exclusivity, and many franchises are exclusive to specific consoles (Zelda, Mario, Metriod == nintendo, for example). |

To be honest i was shocked when i first saw the news about tekken 6 on the Xbox 360.. i knew that namco create there games on many plattforms.. but tekken has been a Playstation Exclusive since the very first version.

i'm not surprised. microsoft has been paying for exclusivity of games from the beginning. and after FFXIII was announced for Xbox 360, all hope was lost for PS3. micro$oft even pays the game companies to release the game on xbox before its released on other consoles. i hate their dirty tactics.

i own MGS4 for PS3 and i already beat the game.. i have to say is an amazing game but the experience in the PS3 is poor.. why?? very simple.. the hole game has 4 installations.. the first one need about 10 minutes while the rest only about 2-4 minutes. the biggest problem comes when you´re let´s say in the 3rd installation and want to load a save file that is in the first installation.. each time you´re faced with an annoying installation which is damn bad. if this turn to be true i would love to play MGS4 again on the xbox 360 even if i get two DL-DVD´s... why??? because if i have to load my savestates i will not face annoying installations.. but probably a small DVD swap that doesn´t bother me at all ![]() one thing i would like to see tho... there´s a part in the game where they make fun about the 360..... lol

I wonder if the port will suck as much as most Dreamcast to PS2 ports, MGS4 was optimized for 1 system I think, unlike most games released nowadays, which are already released with a multiplatform release in mind. Of course, provided that Sony didn't pay Konami a friggin' lot in order to keep this an absolute secret.

releasing a game 1month early on the xbox 360 is pretty dirty. microsoft can bribe the game companies because they have the most money. Quote:

.Anyway, porting it wouldn't be such a bad choice. MGS4 sold quite well (Around 3.5Millions ain't bad at all) but I think they were going for more... Combining the sales of Oblivion 360&PS3 also gives about 3.5M. Kinda depressing, isn't it? ![]() As for "buying" exclusives (even simple temporary ones) : It's a pretty common practice, as far as I can tell. Maybe not so much on BigN part, but Sony and MS used to both do it pretty often. It IS a lot easier for MS to do it tho, that's definitely true. Especially considering how they "thought" about possibly outright buying Nintendo when they decided to enter the game market.

i actually would like that idea, since Nintendo would make M$ not suck as bad. but there is 1 condition: M$ would have to keep the "Nintendo" logo. or else i would be effing pissed.

![]() The only exclusive I DIDN'T like being ported was RE4. Was disgraceful to the game on the PS2/PC compared to the 'Cube (though people are making hi-res texture patches which fix the PC's low-res PS2 textures, and the official patch improves shader effects dramatically ).
