Question Issue with Crysis?

Well, I would like to apologize for the fact that some of my questions here are tooooo specific, but seeing that most of you have completed Crysis, I thought why not

So here's my problem:
I'm not Mission 2 right now (Recovery). The first bit really easy as all I had to do was follow my 2 comrades to a camp-site. After that, I was asked to go proceed ahead on my own. So I stocked up on ammo from there and carried on, I saw a humvee and decided to drive ahead. So I killed all the enemies along the way and then, a side-track appeared to my left so I used that to carry on instead of the main road since I wanted to avoid a large enemy blockade The problem is that when I'm coming down from this track, I don't get the 'Access the Korean data network" mission as said by the guide at Game Pressure, instead, I directly get the "Rescue the hostage" mission.

So, any answers? I don't want to carry on until I'm sure I didn't miss out on anything since I don't want to be in a position where I'm in mission 6 and realize that I have to go all the way back and do this

BTW, this is Crysis NOT Warhead.

Just carry on. There's from very little to no point at all for completing missions in Crysis. The problem is that as long as you finish your main mission, by any means necessary, the rest is obsolete, and it doesn't change the outcome of the game whatsoever.

why don't you search for a good game walkthrough.
you will find one at gamespot.
I always use those, especially in difficult games and the ones with puzzles.

Phew! Thanks for that. I guess all games aren't like Stalker where your you have to comprehend which missions to do and which not, and decide your fate accordingly.

The guide is what's getting me confused. I wouldn't have thought twice there was another mission in the middle if I hadn't seen the guide.

BTW, you should use the guides at GAMEPRESSURE.com - source for PC and console video games info since they're far more descriptive and have far more screen shots then the guides at Gamespot do. Besides, Game Pressure if free to join whereas for Gamespot, you have to cough up

Don't you have to pay to join GameFAQs? When I went to Video Game Cheats, Reviews, FAQs, Message Boards, and More - GameFAQs it said the site was under Gamespot.

Yep, and if you're a GameSpot member you're automatically seen as an idiot.
Seriously...all the idiotic posts on GameFAQs come from Gamespot members.

You can still see who originally signed up at GameFAQs and who signed up at GameSpot though can't you?

Why would anyone need a walkthrough for Crysis, by the way? I can understand Final Fantasy or something... but Crysis? It's friggin' linear. Missions are really straight forward. Just spam cloak mode and silently put everyone to sleep... or go in and make sure you have enough bullets to spare.

Crysis Warhead is much harder than that... but it's still not enough so that you require a walkthrough. Maybe it is enough to make you want to look up something at some point...

Hmm.....maybe I shouldn't have looked at this guide in the first place, got me all tensed up for nothing. But I needed to refer to it since I was performing really badly in the beginning. Why? Because I had the playing style of CoD4 still fresh in my mind, in CoD4, it was just you, your gun and a couple of 100 enemies which you have to kill, no complications But when I applied this strategy to Crysis, I couldn't even eliminate the 3 troops at the first camp-site So I referred to the guide to learn about all the powers of the nano-suit and stuff and I also came across the fact that you don't necessarily have to eliminate all your enemies, sometimes, its just good if you pass by in front of them really quickly and ride out their assault

The hell? I just charged in and took them out with fists or something. Since you are a super powerful being, it takes like two or three normal punches to finish off the Koreans.

I admit CoD4 feels easier... since your teammates were mostly there to take hits or cover for you, but heck, you're a superman by default in Crysis. The powers are just for kicks.
