In the begining the PS was called PSX duh even now some people cal it PSX and not a PS

psx wikipedia - Google Search

psx was just a codename for the system before it was released,

like the GC was dolphin,
the wii was revolution,
the n64 was project reality,
the dreamcast was katana,
the gba was atlantis,

it doesn't mean anything, they exist to give un-named consoles a moniker for referencing

Dreamcast had Blackbelt as well, and several others, until very late in the process they had two units as a prototype, one as we know it right now, and another one with a Voodoo based GPU. I wonder how that one would've performed, it was harder to code for, but offered more power.

Currently i have,Sega Genesis, Sega Saturn, and the Sega Dreamcast
i have all of the Sonic games for the Genesis.
and to tell you the truth i think that these games are better than some of
the newer Sonic Games.
