Geez this makes my x1800 beg on its knees!!!

i mean it may be a driver issue but ill get into that later, i actually ha dto turn down the settings from the reccommended!! i mean it was LAG central! my cpu is at 2.8 at the moment to. but i will post in the screenshots thread in the morning, bout to go to bed

-but yeah some strange reason trying to change settings it said my card didnt support ps1.1 when i have a ps3.0 card...i dont know...using the newest driver may be the reason...

Enabling "sun shadow" makes the game go really REALLY slow. Other settings aren't that bad, but that one is definitely a framerate-killer. It makes a BIG difference in the environment (and as whole, makes everything look much much better) but... Yeah, it's a big blow to performance.
I thought it was worth it tho. (most of the time, at least)

you guys should read over this, you might be able to improve the performance a bit with some of the stuff mentioned in there.

Wait Fadz, are you sure that's Stalker Clear Sky? Because all those scenes look ditto copies of SoC, as does the position and layout of the HUD

Drivers issues with HD4870X2.

Been like that for a while. Hence I'm proudo of my overclocko HD4870.

That aside, I remember there was a shader pack for SoC that improved performance drastically. Wonder if it still works... (prolly not. Seems like they added a lot of things)

Mmm... wonder when his mod for Crysis and/or CoD4 is released. (heard they were canceled, though... aww... Crysis would have gotten a nice boost)
