I made the calculations and it would take me roughly 2 hours to get the 200 dodges. Back then I didn't have much to play but it wasn't enough to not tell them "screw you" when I missed a dodge at 1:51 min

I did the lightning thing by pausing and taking a break. It sucked too.

For real? Even with messing it up and thus starting it several times, it took me just around 35 minutes. Then again, I did use a hint that was given to me; some spots of the Thunder Plains are more quicker to use strikes over and over.

Me too. After dodging, I would instantly pause the game, add one to the tally on a nearby sheet of paper (my memory is so poor I can't count mentally whilst multi-tasking ) and then un-pause and repeat. I found it quite easy, but very boring. But seeing as the reward helps me customize something I'll never use on a character I rarely have in battle... It makes me wonder why I bothered wasting my time.

You expect us to count to 200 whilst dodging strikes, in the most boring mini-game of all-time, whilst constantly being interrupted by random encounters, and where blinking can mean starting from scratch? It's not us you should be saying that to, it should be the dudes that created this whacked-up excuse of a sidequest/minigame.

Woah. I wasn't that extreme. I don't remember how I kept count, but I only took a break when I started to go cross-eyed from staring at the screen.

I don't remember what you have to do, but I got it, so it can't be that hard.

To get 0.00 you have to get hit by nothing and get ALL the balloons.

Because the group position of some balloons are randomized, you'll have to pray to have the opening straight-run strip full of balloons only you can grab, get them, make sure your ahead of the trainer at this point, and during the second bit (after the initial turn) stay as far to the right as you can whilst occasionally picking up as much balloons as possible where there are no birds. Then, when you are about to do the second turn into the final stretch, stay deep in the mountain's shadow at the corner. This lets you easily grab the first balloon on the final stretch - and might even let the trainer overtake you, making her more likely to get hit by birds than you. From here just grab balloons, staying to the far left or far right of the stretch (though staying to the far left lets you run over a little bit of seperate path where birds cannot hit you, but this path niche is almost right near the end) and ta-da, finish!

Sorry if that's confusing, I haven't been up long

Actually I was in awe of your determination. And I believe Lulu's weapon found in a chest in Baaj Temple (it has no-encounter) would have been of great help.

Yeah, but I was in no mood to find Geosagno to get it, because I hated his swallow-up-your-character attack thingy which I found annoying, in addition to the fact you can only use Rikku, Wakka and Tidus for that said battle - this being an extra annoyance because at that time, the stats of my Rikku and Wakka were very under-developed.

And now that I read back on my comment about the lightning strikes, I apologize if it seemed as if I were lashing out at you or something.

No prob ( I should actually strangle some FF developers, I'll start with the one who did the story for FF12 and plot development ).

Kinda of topic:
Anyway something just struck me: does anyone think that Riku(KH2) looks like Sephiroth in a way(FTTDK FF7 bad guy)? His looks like that Yazoo guy in advent children who was part Sephiroth, hair is sort of silver, green eyes too and there's one wing on his keyblade. Possible character inspiration was taken from Sephiroth?

IF that were true I wouldn't of won.

You can miss about 2 balloons and get hit once I think.
