$2,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 says GamesRadar didn't get their "hands on" Megaman 9 first, Nintendo Power did(When they're basically first-party, why wouldn't they get it first?), even all those screenshots they have are copies from the most recent issue.
And Mega Man & Bass was NOT Mega Man 9. If it were Mega Man 9, it would say Mega Man 9 on the box and title screen. And it doesn't, does it now? |

Megaman 9 eh ? Well, its good that its gfx are like the old school nes, however i wish for the sound to be kinda epic: the option to have newer sounds, or sounds of which you'd think that its nes...i would take the latter one

hardly, this is about a retro trend currently going on in japan, retro meaning 8bit or less. megaman is famous for its 8bit roots, everything that came after was merely a constant odyssey for redefinition and never worked out particularly well in my opinion, as MMX did everything that could be expected form a solid transition.
the 8bit sprites are cult, the 8bit sounds are cult and so is the music. I dont know, since you probably still feel like arguing just go to OC Remixes and see what megaman tunes egt remixed msot often. i wonder though... is this really a nes game technically, or is it just an engine emulating the feel? |

the wii is neither powerfull, nor expensive and quite frankly, the perfect platform to be flooded with interesting experiments like this one. it costs next to nothing to make the game and it will be very cheap to buy. i honestly dont see why every single professional game needs to be a full 5 year developmentcycle multimillion dollar poject when its very fun and satisfying to have a small, fun game now and then. personally i hope this paves the road for other games like this, even though i will probably hate the game itself. and nostalgia aside, nes games do have a certain apeal, though i admit its hard to put the finger on the reason. i recently played kid icarus for the first time for instance and thouroughly enjoyed it, since i have never seen the game before in my life, theres soemthing else at work then nostalgia. |

yay megaman 9!!!
i hope they don't mess up the series. and its a shame its only for the wii; it would be really awesome if they released an old-school NES cartridge of it. i would definitely buy it!

I am surprise that they go back to 8 bit from 32 bit of Megaman 8. It is kinda strange, really.

why would it be disastrous for Capcom if they also released the game on a NES cartridge?
i bet a ton of fans would buy it just to complete their collection.
