Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy now free/ad-supported

FilePlanet: Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy (Free Game))

Filename: Midway_PsiOps_DF_IGN.exe
Author: Midway
Size: 2,510.6 MB
Updated: 6/9/2008

Quote:
Download Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy and enjoy this violent run and gun action game featuring a host of amazing psychic abilities for FREE! This is the entire PC version of the game ad supported to make it a 100% free game.

If you would like to play the game without ads you may purchase it on Direct2Drive (just block ads if need be, actually ;P)

More and more games do seem to be turning to the ad-supported commercial ways. Prince of Persia: Sand of time, Farcry, Rayman Raving Rabbids...
Any other notable ones?

btw, discuss the concept of ad-supported games ;P

I certainly don't mind ad-supported games....now I only wish my connection was actually capable of downloading them XD.
I think it's a cool concept...then again I have not really played any ad-supported games yet...

Never heard about it... did you try id? What's so special about it and how does these ads work? Do they pop up on the desktop? Or ingame?

In the GUI and during the loading times, I suppose (didn't check, I'm on a cap). Since not multiplayer in core, I don't think there would be ingame ads such as is the case in Counter-Strike (wtf, Portal ads on the walls of cs_office ??)

Wow, this sounds interesting. So, any of you tested this already? I don't mind in-game ads...

This is great for people who are too tight to pay for games.
