Second Mass Effect Disc?

Just recently got Mass Effect for PC. Installed it just using Disc 1, and have only played for alittle while (Just got control over the Normandy). Any idea what the second disc is used for. Various forums I've read suggest the game should just have one disc, or one disc that accidently had "disc 1" printed on it.

Odd thing is I actually have a second disc.

The 2nd disc should be for additional languages that aren't available with just the first disk.
IIRC it should be French, German and probably some more.

Hmm, I just installed Mass Effect last night and I only got 1 DVD, it was sealed, and there was no DVD #2?

It seemed to install ok?

I haven't had a chance to play it very much.

It looks good on my PC...

If I remember correctly, CK is in Europe somewhere. MasterPhW's theory makes sense in that case.

Now that I've actually had time to sit down infront of my PC, turns out that it is just a batch of very large rars containing language stuff.

Not really had much time to play, but I felt massively disappointed when doing a side mission - where I had to hunt down some monkeys who'd stolen a probe part. Worst graphics ever, the terrain had masses of repeating textures that scorched your eyes and horrific lack of detail.

Yeah... it's a console port, you should keep that in mind. And you are one of the greatest gfx addicts, so even the new S.T.A.L.K.E.R. will probably dissappoint you. :P

He's right, the main quest is great, the side quests are mere filler and a big letdown. They're only fun if you enjoy shooting down some extra enemies and getting some more loot. I've seen randomly generated levels that were more interesting.
