Re4 cutscene question.

Since I bought my new video card and I don't have such horrendous slowdown issues, I decided to get into pc gaming. First two games bought, ffxi (cause I wanted to ply it, never got the chance to) and re4. both games play great, except re4

It's not that the game is bad, in fact, the game looks downright awesome, I'm able to play it a 1024 x 728 resolution at 60fps without a hint of jaggies or slowdown. But whenever there's a cutscene, it gets gritty. I mean, real gritty. Down right eyesore gritty. I dunno why that is either. When playing it, it looks better than it would on gamecube, yet the cutscenes look almost like a n64 game.

Anyway to help fix that.

Also, after you find the presidents daughter, what exactly are you suppose to do in the church? I go back inside and those dudes shoot crossbows at me.

its because it was a crappy port job by a crappy publisher like ubisoft, the cut scenes look just like the ps2 version. if you go here you will find a mod that will make them look a little better but not by much. edit- btw while you are there pick up some of the improved texture and lighting packs, they actually look better than the GC version. the only thing missing is the shader effects but there are some mods that add bloom and other such things that make it much better looking than what it looked like unmodded.

after you get ashley, stab those fools in the church and get any items/money they may drop, then head back towards the village. from there go to the farm area and use her to unlock door on the left side path that you couldnt access earlier on your own (you had to take the right side path which lead to the area where they tried to kill you with that huge boulder).
