Ah yes, Powerstone! That game rocked. I always mention it to my friends whenever we hang out to play Smash Bros or Mario Party. Since none of them have ever owned a DC, they give me the usual "yeah yeah" or "meh". I'll need to bust out the DC sometime and force them to play it...

It was effectively a bump because no one had replied before. Notice the thread is 3 days old...
Sometimes it's neccessary to call attention to a thread again...

I think that so far this thread shows that multiplayer hotseat/splitscream games are still much favoured over online multiplayer games.

I wish PCs today had enough power to still allow Split-Screen racing.

O well at least it means the classics (TOCA 2, NFS-HS, NFS-2SE) get lots of playtime (my poor NFS-2SE disc...it's high time I create an ISO of it....whilst I still can...)

I wish developers would still give a darn about split screen racing. It's not a matter of resources man, PCs have more than enough power. Especially if the entire level can be loaded into Vram in one go then there's no reason splitscreen racing should come at a big hit. And in the other case the players could have a choice of either lowering settings, or racing with only 2 computer opponents instead of 4. If consoles can do splitscreen racing it's bull that a PC can't.

avp 2 and quake 3. im not really into multi-player/online gaming but those two are the only ones i find tolerable. counter strike is alright too but i dont play it as often as i did when it first came out.

Most people have said SRS is like driving on train tracks/rails...I doubt that makes for a very fun game...unless you are looking for a Scalectrix sort of thrill.
