Hmmm...
HD and True-HD I guess .

Considering how the game will most likely do very little uses of the motion-sensing (multi-platform, ect...) better resos could give the advantage to the 360/PS3 versions. (easily so, for people who don't like better resos/hate aliasing... which means... lots of people )

They sincerely haven't realized how much milk they can squeeze out of the PS3... I mean... it's not all about graphics... for god's sake! Just do something about average... like at Half-Life 2 level, but with physics 10 times as intense, and everything is shootable/breakable/killable/etc... and you'll suddenly find yourself in a completely different experience. It's not impossible... and it's not a lot of work either. It's just that a lot of developers just run after the trends...

Edit: but after that PS3 rant, I bet quite a few should realize that: we won't get anything original or new... as long as all we see are visual enhancements. Sony brought about quite a revolution. They just don't even know how to do it themselves... or maybe they did, but they are saving it as a secret weapon.

I wouldn't call a machine with "only" more horsepower than the last gen a revolution.

There's actually a machine whose codename was Revolution, and which really is a revolution, and that's the Wii.

Note before idiots comes in : I'm not a Nintendo fanboy, I just like their games, hence the need for a Wii, and I'll buy a PS3 soon enough (MGS4 and SCIV )

Oh please. Could you be more vague with your statement?

New Prince of Persia is new but hardly any game today is original.

It seems you have too high expectations for this game.

Oh hell yes i had higher expectations than this! The Sands of Time was really amazing and had unique and original features. It happens to be my favorite adventure series and have all 3 like i already said. I was expecting so much more from Montreal for the next series. Yes i wanted a new prince and a new fantastic story. Wanted a new more acrobatic and unique combat system. From that, all i got was the cool looking new prince. An idea ripped off from Okami, Metroid and ToZ:TP. A story line that cant be more cliche even if they tried to and a combat system that is like Soul Calibur which is a game i hate. As for the graphics i will just wait for a video and see how it looks in motion.

So to answer your "So what the hell did you want noja? " question.

*ahem* - NOT THIS

The graphics are quite nice! And considering all we really have are static screenshots, I believe the final product, in motion, will be good.

The origional Sands of Time was quite entertaining, and if it's the same team...I have faith in them.

For sure, this will be a title I play.

I liked the idea of this new aproach - well Sands of Times was a new aproach too(remember anyone fist PoP game? - this one on nes if i remember correctly)...but i say big NO to the graphics - the surroundings looks good BUT not the characters.
And actualy i liked PoP plot and gameplay - Warrior Within was the best part - the darkest, the hardest and the most awesome.

Which is hardly a fair judgment of the game since we know very little about it yet. Except that it use a cell-shading effect while not dwelling in a "ZOMG LOOK AT THE PINK FLOWERS" world. And that they replaced the old time-abilities because it wouldn't be "new" and "original" anymore. It's been used a lot, not only by them.

So now they decide to go for a different visual style (which is still too early to judge) and decide to go for something new in gameplay too, to make a difference between PoP and other games (which is still too early to judge too).

As long as they do it right, it can be very nice. We still know very little to judge about it yet, I just get flashback of people shouting at Nintendo "LAAAAMMMMMMEEEE" when Zelda Wind Waker gfx were revealed. And then later people who weren't gfx-whore realized that the visual style fitted perfectly the atmosphere of the game. (light-hearted, "happy" fantasy world, ect)

And rejoice, PoP is not using a kiddie cell-shading like Zelda WW and multiple other games did.

I was not referring at the graphics only Thanakil (story still suck) =-='

I said i don't "hate" cell shading. I said i think and PoP and Cell don't mix but i will wait for a video before making my final judgment about the graphics. I hope it looks pretty.

But just to make it clear and final. The FIRST impression i got from this early screenshots and info was negative. That is all. End of Discussion. I will wait for more screenshots and videos. And now i have to go because is REALLY ****ING HOT here in Puerto Rico and the processor fan of this really old computer is not working properly and the temperature is up to 110c. It freezes and crashes every 2 minutes. Cya later

P.S. - I thought Wind Waker looked great =P

Probably because the PoP didn't sell too well, which made sense since it was just the Two Thrones prettied up a bit.

I already have all three Prince of Persia's from Sands of Time to the Two Thrones for the PC. Why would I want to repurchase it for the Wii?

So poor sales of the 3rd one, will kill any desire to make the 4th one for the Wii. I don't think there was a reason to make the last Prince of Persia for the Wii, but I felt the same for Resident Evil 4.
