You guys are beginners! You haven't played X-Com/UFO Enemy Unknown!? Theme Park!? Master of Orion!? ...... I feel old.....
 ... Oh wait, 1998..... Err.... Diablo 2. Mortal Kombat 4 (Still treasure it to this day. Hehe.  ) . Counter-Strike ? I think it was released on 2000 though. Quake 2.

In 1998 I used to play Doom, which was my first FPS. Other games I played were Outlaws (demo), Pandemonium, Firo & Klawd, Age of Empires and many others.
I had no idea about all those great PSX games that time.

Hmm, two more games I played a lot:
- GTA: I wonder why no one has come up with this one  - Redneck Rampage (demo), another awesome game. One of the finest looking sprite based games as well.

Well my first PC was p1 (100mhz! ad 1gb hdd - it was one of BEST PCs back then (1995 in Poland)) - and i still remember some games:
1) Red Alert - ahh one of BEST strategy games ever - Hell March anyone? 2)Duke Nuke'em 3D - one of first games i played 3) Warcraft II - another grand RTS 4) Tomb rider's - it's my childhood series! 5) KKND - it was fun playing with friends on one pc!(multiple minds are better than one :]) 6) Mortal Kombat! - no need to describe it eh? down forward down forward low kick block - FATALITY! edit by reading this thread i remembered some more: X-com Doom(how i could forgot bout it) Turok Quake Stars Comand and conquer GTA Diablo 1 + addon (better than diablo 2)
