X360 Vertical or Horizontal ?

hi guys...

I searched in this forum a lot but it's weird I couldn't find any thread related to this.

I googled alot but couldn't find a fix answer. some say the vertical orientation is better due to the ventilation process and taking less room on the other hand some other leave it laying down horizontal because they think it's a lot safer and besides it avoids DVDs from getting fuzzy..

I'm completey confused.. Is there any official announcement from MS that confirms which position is better ?

I'd appreciate if you answer this one either. I don't wanna make a new thread for that.. Which Driver is better in terms of Reading data components ?
Hitachi.. Samsung or Benqu ? thanks..

Vertical will help with ventilation, sometimes, however, its probably better to have it horizontal, otherwise you or someone else will end up bumping your 360 and scratching your disks.

For the DVD drive question, they all seem to work about the same, but BenQ drives seem to be the most quiet. However, if you ever become interesting in using modified firmware, Samsung Drives seem to be the best option.

Oh yeah, its also worth noting that occasionally, some people have had problems with Samsung drives not ejecting, I however have not experienced it and I have a samsung drive.

sorry but I dunnu why I don't have a good feelin' toward Samsung. it's nothing wrong with it but I prefer Benq or Hitachi and as you said Benq is the most quiet driver, I'll for it..

thanks again..
