PS2 games on PSP? Are you sure you didnt mean PS1 games? I'm sure these would...

Depends... I suppose you don't have a custom firmware then.
Which is the version of the firmware you currently have ? (direct PS1 emulation was added starting from version

The OP has "Pcsx2 Addict" as a title, so I guess he really does mean PS2 isos(?). He mentioned too often anyway to be taken as PS1 isos.

Anyway, you can't run PS2 stuff on the PSP, PS1 maybe (I don't know about it) but if you're really looking for PS2, you should simply give up, it won't work.

Adding to the obvious, PCSX2 also does not currently run on the PSP, so PS1 games it will be at best ;p

It was a PSP game, not a PS2 game. Vice Stories was released for the PSP first, for the PS2 later.

So he wasn't playing a PS2 game on the PSP. He was playing a PSP game on the PSP.

Indeed, they were originally PSP games, which were later ported to the ps2

And anyway, you still have to "hack" your PSP. Seeing as to how you just bought a new one, the chances that you won't brick it the process is 1%, and the chances that you find out that you can never do it all by yourself is over 100%.

Ummm, only idiots can brick a PSP nowadays when loading on a CFW. Insert preloaded memory stick with pandora battery and hit X, wait until it says complete, remove both and voila, done.

Just find someone with the memory stick and pandora battery. If not, the hard part is just opening up the battery and snipping the right leg on the chip. Plenty of guides with pictures out there to help you out.

Don't worry abt hacking. A shop in my area hacks psp for 15$, and by the way is there much difference between ps2 games and psp games?

As I've experienced this handheld console I have to say, PS2 is a bit more powerful than PSP, besides the varieties of game genre in PS2 is more than PSP.
that's what I think... anyway, PSP has its own advanages which one of them is being portable.

PSP is like a mini PS2 without the GS. PSP has the ME.
And anyway, games on the PSP are intentionally dumbed down so that battery life can go on for at least 4 hours or so.

I do not know why people have to open the battery to put it service mode.
I have never done that, just with a little app I can convert the battery in a seg.

Yes, there are. Most noticeably, the PSP ports from PS2 are souped-down versions (lower res and stuff like that) , among others
