Well, anyways. Joy or Sorrow, whatever you're name is, you sure you're using the right codes for the right version?

I go to IGN and get the code from the FAQ go to the FR/LG area for it, copy and paste it, and it says it is for a different game

Ah, you're using an emulator? Can't really help you there then, I don't use any other emulator then PCSX2 .

Well J&S, if you'd really like to be helped out here, we need more input from your side. What game are you playing? Which system is it on? What emulator are you using? We can't help you if we don't have a clue what you are talking about in the first place.

But seriously, from what I've read, it seems he's trying to get some GameShark codes for Pokemon Fire Red (or Leaf Green) in VisualBoy Advance (probably the only emulator that supports cheats officially?). Well, anyway, my friend, VBA has its own codes that you can find in the VisualBoy Advance section allllllll the way down there in the Handheld section. And this thread should have been opened there, anyway.

The fire red GSA codes on IGN are incorrect, they have the wrong Master code.

the correct master code is

unfortunately, many of the Pokemon modifier codes will simply not work, some of the item codes do.. but none of the wild pokemon modifier codes do....

may be a bug in VBA and VBA-M though....

They don't?....I seem to remember being able to get the pokemon I wanted through cheats...not eggs or shinys, but the regular wild pokemon modifiers did work...can't remember whether I used Codebreaker, Gameshark or Action Replay now though...

im playing diamond right now....one thing that stands out: aside from the main poke battle theme, the music sucks hard. ive been trying to take a nostalgia trip playing it, but its not working for me.

Though i've listened to Palkia and Dialga's theme from Smash Bros Brawl and it looks cool. but again, was from SSBB ST. the ds version music must be meh
