so both have pros and cons
The GS could do more effects? How so? And I think the GS was more efficient in "graphics handling" because it had more bandwitdh, more pixel pipelines, and it's GPU registers were 64-bit, the NV2A's registers are all 8 or 32-bit.

emulation on a console is pretty useless.
unless its a handheld, cuz then its portable.

While I liked it as well, I think plot wise people didn't like its genericness.

Not if you're too cheap to buy certain games and still want to play them on a console/TV.

@Ref, About Xbox1's titles... most of the exclusive ones weren't hyped as much as Halo, Fable, etc. There were loads of good ones, but never got the recognition they deserved. Some gamers don't care whether there's a PC port because some like the console versions better (that's how I fell about Halo, I'd rather play it on an Xbox than on my PC). I think they should have never released Halo on PC. It should have just remained Xbox only, and others should have been PC only (such as Doom3). In the end the PC and Xbox market only appear to hurt themselves.

to be honest, ive never thought that FPS and consoles mix. Its just not the same without the accuracy and freedom you get with mouse and keyboard.

True. A good example is Unreal Championship (2002). The game was great but it was hard to aim at your enemies because the framerates were so bad because the graphics were a bit too much for the Xbox to handle with all the high quality textures and effects and what not. Plus the Direct3D libraries for Xbox were rather slow and poorly optimized in some areas... IMO a lower level OpenGL implementation would have been better instead of just layer after layer of bulky classes that completely cover the NV2A hardware registers, but that's Microsoft for you

Personally I just like playing Halo and Half Life2 on an Xbox rather than a PC. I played the Halo1 demo for PC and the only thing I really liked better than the console version was the fact that you could get better frame rates and no aliasing. The Xbox version is locked at 30 FPS (intentionally?).

Vista isn't THAT bad /: Lol.

Both consoles are just as good, just depends on the games you like.

the xbox not a bad console at all!

I still buy games from eb and bestbuy in which they are occasionally costs 3 bucks a piece and I am talking about shenmue 2, Crimson skies, brute force and such.

Plus, at least this machine did not have read disc problems like my PS2 and Wii (almost have to return my resident evil chronicales to bestbuy cuz it can't read it for two times in a row )

Hmm, what games do I love for the XBOX?

Burnout 3, Crimson Skies, Dead or Alive 1-3 & Volleyball, Gauntlet Seven Sorrows, Justice League Heroes, King of Fighters 2002-2003, Mortal Kombat Deception, Project Gotham Racing 1 & 2, Samurai Showdown V, Shenmue 2, Super Monkeyball Deluxe, SVC Chaos, Tecmo Arcade, Unreal Championship 2, and Wraith Unleashed, none of these were ported to the PC, AFAIK.

$95 for an XBOX, $9.99 for a copy of Halo 2...Being able to play Halo 2 without buying Vista, priceless! Vista, what OS do you not want to screw up your PC!

you just made yourself the smartest person in this thread IMHO

And for all of you defending the Xbox, why isn't Ninja Gaiden in your game libraries? I can't believe i sold that gem, now my Xbox is just sitting in my room, unplugged, collecting dust on the floor. The only reason I don't rebuy it is because Ninja Gaiden 2 comes out for 360 in a couple months! (If i didn't have a PC, I probably would have repurchased Ninja Gaiden a while ago)

I'm not defending it, rather saying what I liked about it. A console cannot be defended, it is either liked or disliked. I respect the fact not everyone liked the XBOX as much as I hope others respect the idea I don't care for the Playstation 3. It's a matter of what are you willing to spend your money on, which is a personal choice.

I have Ninja Gaiden, it's an ok game. I might have liked it better if I owned Black, but I'm unwilling to spend $24.99 on a used copy at the moment, just like I'm unwilling to spend $26.99 on Baldur's Gate II for the XBOX.

There were other games I preferred on the XBOX that were available for other systems, but I wanted to list more exclusives that I liked than ports. There are some ports where the PC version uses the "evil" Starforce, XII and Splinter Cell Chaose Theory come to mind, where there's a reason to buy an XBOX version as it's the best port and not protected with a hideous copy protection scheme...

Meh NG was overrated. It was a good game but not great and definitely not the best action game out there. Otogi was better =P

Why fanboys hate playstation video had some big errors(xbox propably had too but I don't know about it so I.. don't know?)... Sixaxis doesn't look like that and PS3 has backwards compatability the bigger versions for PS2 and PSX but the 40 gig has for PSX.

But I hate microsoft for most of the reasons on the video but also that almost all of the games I like that came to crapbox came to PC and in better versions these games are KOTOR's, haven't played Jade Empire but propably like it... That's it. I tried Halo but it sucked when compared to other PC FPS's(it may be good as console FPS but in PC there are better... much Better.). Also I don't especially like sony either but their products just are better, but mostly as they don't rip off their customers like crapbox LIVE, and million accesories, crappy toaster consoles and sony isn't creating ****ty OS's that must be used because microsoft bribed gamecompanies to make games work well only on windows not...

But I've made a decision to not buy any microsoft products anymore(note "buy"... make your own thoughts about that)

Paratech, dude, I hear you about the Starforce drivers and whatnot with Chaos Theory but you can't tell me that mouse wheel control on the PC wasn't wonderful.

I don't think it really matters about a consoles techspecs and whatnot. I just want to play fun games that actually put the designated consoles hardware in mind or at least employs creative mechanics.

Maybe it's just me. But the last generation wasn't particuarly exciting for me (PS2, XBOX, GCN) and felt more evolutionary than revolutionary compared to the PSX, DC and N64 days with CV: SoTN, Zelda OoT, MGS, Shenmue etc... I never found anything "killer" since then with the exception of God of War. Although I did enjoy the new Prince of Persia games. It's kind of a bittersweet romance playing them on PC, a rare experience which you know won't last. Sigh.
