I've played it a few months back, I sucked miserably at it, especially trying to use a keyboard to play it.

One the other hand, it seems like a good alternative to blowing big bucks on Guitar Hero. Sure it doesn't really have the story mode or whatever it is that GH has, but nevertheless, its good enough for a few hours of entertainment.

The best part is how easy it is to add new songs.

I liked it, but it wasn't really optimized when I played. The game was always too slow, even when on lowest EVERYTHING + my PC isn't bad.
(DC at 2.4ghz, 7950GT)

The song would always finish before the gameplay, I would see buttons still coming and all.

Anyway, the game is still fun tho, and definitely a good alternative to Guitar Hero if you don't care about 3D characters or stuff like that.

Edit : I tried the new version, and I still had the same problem. It seems like the timing is off too, I guess I can try to fix it with the A/V thing, but I never know if I gotta increase it or decrease it to help.

Edit 2 : I somehow got a song to finish on time (with the buttons and all, so I can play the full length of it) but reducing the AV didn't help. 90% of the time when I press it fits and all goes well. 10% of the time I get a miss while I was obviously dead-on. Meh x_X.

Best thing to get is the previous (1.2.451) version from the Sourceforge page; the latest version has some serious memory issues that causes crashes and sync issues.

Also, there are lots of songs made for FoF that are definitely out of sync; blame their creators, not FoF. Except in the case where a song is either REALLY slow or REALLY fast, then it seems FoF is to blame, it seems to not be able to sync correctly.

*shrug* I've played it quite a bit and that's what I've noticed, anyway.

Well, I've had that problem with songs coming with the game (and had sync issue with very old versions too).

But I'll try that previous version, see if it helps. The game is still very nice, that's for sure.
