That's true for C&C...but Red Alert has always been something special.

Red Alert 2 is still one of my favourite old RTS games to go back to.

Hopefully Red Alert 3 can recapture some of the glory...although seeing as Westwood aint no more these days it will probably feel like just another generic RTS.

engine reuse...
C & C generals first "3D" C&C
C&C 3 sidescroller menü and minimum pimped gfx.Now take that into RED Alert... But the KI sucks all the time. And the story atmospehere is nowhere close to blizzard titles...

i agree, Red Alert 2 was meh.

i didn't even finish CnC Generals it was just to argh.... annoying.

i'd rather play starcraft anyway.

For a 2008+ game the gfx looks like total crap, they should come up with a new engine instead of "tweaking" the one they have since Generals.

More advance graphic = low sale,look at UT3 and Crysis for example.

That ways too bright, they need a new engine. SC2 still have almost 1 year to tweak the graphics and they already announced that will make the game a bit more dark because the users complained for the pics.

This engine peaked at BFME2... time to move on EA...

It doesn't Look so bad so far about that I just hope they can put some of the iconic units aside from tesla tech.

Just be sure won't EA to mess up again

But I agree with Leiw, they need a new gfx engine (and lets hope it won't be a "VISTA ONLY" game)
