Wasn't Kane who proposed it...

I also feel that the old star system isn't applicable anymore in this day and age. When that was first put in place there really wasn't a lot of people here to talk with, but now that there are more people nowadays to talk wth, I'm sure those new requirements wouldn't be hard to reach if you participate enough.

in other words, this was done so people who dont participate enough wont be seen as ones (since they would have many stars) ?

As shiori stated we felt the stars weren't doing the task they were added for. Basically they were indended to be a quick method for new users to "rate" other members experience on emu matters. With nearly every one having 7 stars it had kinda lost its usefulness.

Since everybody's making a big fuss about the stars and post count, maybe it'd be best to get rid rid of the post count and let it be a mystery.

Yeah, post counts should be ditched and stars should be awarded judging on how much time a person has spent online on the boards.

Or better yet, a balanced time spent and posts made bases.

How about do away with the stars and post counts all together and just add male or female symbols!

HA, no, I like stars and post counts, gives me something to set a goal for.
