That is something the admins need to control. Like I said people are going to post in the OT regardless if it counts or not. Ryos did this so he could give something back to the users and bring back some enjoyment of posting.

It has already been proven spam will happen with or without posts counts counting, and I along with others felt that it was never the problem in the first place and knew it would only cause the forum to have a negetive atmosphere and make the forums not so fun anymore.

Ryos is just trying to take steps to correct the mistakes that were made and I fully support him and will continue to help him whenever possible like I did this time.

Still, don't you think a public opinion should have been taken on this beforehand? Although I feel it would unanimously be approved anyway, still things shouldn't have been rushed just like that. People have settled into the adjusted system already.

I tried democracy where it "mattered." It failed.

47 it is the complete opposite of what you are saying. The post counts were removed and the post counts stopped counting only recently within the past couple months. Ryos is just returning it back to the system we were all comfortable with. So new users like yourself might need to adjust, others like us are glad to have it back

No, it wasn't spam. I was laughing because my post count went up. Lighten up.

We can't read your mind. LOL did not convey your intended message. Elaborating as you did now would have been great.

I feel uneasy on posting stuff like "beer indeed!" in OT now, with the post counted though. Gotta get used to it.
Beer indeed!

That's a weird looking beer glass. Anyway, I don't post in the OT forums too much so it barely raised my post count. My post count would like double (not that that's much compared to most of you hardcore posters), if my posts from my "lost" member name were added. My old member name was RhombusYSS and it was "lost" during the big server problem in April... I tried to contact Bobbi to fix it but he's a busy guy and I eventually made this name.

Didn't change much for me, from ~1300 to ~1500. But, surprisingly, I'm still one of the top 50 posters here.

I just enabled post counts in pc/other systems gaming screenshots and updated the counters .That means members post counts may have changed again.

Didn't see this thread until it got moved into announcements.

To be truthful I'm still very doubtful as to whether this is a good idea , but I guess it'll provide the answer to that question. Plus it means that Ryos' "boycott" is now over.

Still I'm surprised, by my count it was 2 for, 4 against and 4 neutral.

What's the breakdown of the votes, i.e., who voted for whom?

I don't remember voting though.

Personally I think this is an awful idea. it promotes quantity over quality. But hey whatever floats the mods boat. Post counts are just well. Dumb
