so basicly now its not gettin your post count up but to keep your ban points down.

I have anoher questions. since i was banned once. Will i then have this as my last chance or will i have this chance and my last chance

I'm thinking about something for the custom title thing ... possibly a new combination of posts/registered for or something, and a percentage bar showing this. It certainly won't be only related to posts in the future though.

The number of posts is visible to the admins, so will the ban points be (once I found this STUPID error causing problems once the user got over 5 ban points) ... the user might get a warning when he gets into a critical area ... not sure though, gotta see what the others think.

Oh no. I was really scared about this, and it looks like my fears were realized. Betamax hinted about this to me, and I expressed my fear that the anti-spam measures are usually worse than the spam. Unfortunately, it seems I was right. *sigh*

It looks like I lost about 100 posts. This really sucks for me because I just had about 30 posts left before I got a custom title. And now I have absolutely no clue how many more I need, or who has how many posts. The stars just don't do it for me. I just know that I got demoted.

Painful methods are necessary to deal with painful problems. Quite a few people got a significant number of posts cut by the change, but it had to happen. The sins of a few make all suffer. If you're really bothered by the fact you can't get the custom title yet, just PM me what you want.

o well, at least after I hit 1000 I slowed down to a offtopic to "useful" post ratio of about 30/70

I also think this, the stars are a nice decoration but not really useful as an indicator of experience. Of course, neither were the postcounts.

That's what I'm trying to do. I'm having difficulties tracking down the stars system at the moment...

WHA!!! that means i lost more then half my posts, before this happened i had 960 posts and now im down to 4 stars which mean i have about 200

I think it's a great idea! Many times I would get P'Od at all the newbies spamming just to get to 700 or 1000. Woooooooooo this is great! As for the ban system, that's also a wise idea.

It appears that I didn't loose very many posts. I usually mingled in Screenshots, Game/Hardware/Software Discussion, and Web Development. I guess those forums still count. Although, I will admit, I enjoy the off-topic conversations at times.
