Hey guys,i see alot of people still actually come on here since its been awhile that i've attended here yrs ago.I see alot of people alot of people having problems with the emulator from time to time, and i had thought to contribute a tutorial if thats cool with the heads of the forum and all.

It basically covers the basics as well what plugins a work properly on anybody computer running either on Pentium 3 to Quads along with more advanced stuff on how to get either Ps1 Discs working and Cd images thats been personally ripped from their collection.I honestly hope this helps any of the newbies and people who might come think EpsxE is challenging when its very simple and effective to those who wanna keep retro gaming alive.

The Video Tut is here.
YouTube - How To Run ePSXe On Your Computer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxkMWk-uo6c)

I'm not gon tell Where to download ripped games for i dont support that type of deal.find that type of stuff on your own accord.

But to those whom this do help.Good luck to you and happy gaming.

Hey guys,
I recently bought a Macbook Pro and got Parallels 5 for it so I could keep using my emulators. ePSXe loads fine but it does not recognise any plugins. When using the wizard it doesn't recognise bios either but it does when I configure bios manually.
Is there a solution to this problem? And is it to do with the emulator or with Parallels?
Thanks.

ps. I'm using ePSXe 1.7.0 and Parallels 5.

this might be a stupid question. to be honest, i'm not quite sure yet. i've been exploring psx emulation for a few years... and i've come across all sorts of different extensions for image files... .iso, .bin, .img... and i know all about the .cue and .ccd files, and about subchannel files, etc... but a few games that i obtained earlier were labeled as ECM files, which i've never come across. to be more precise, it was labled "nameofillegallydownloadedgamehere.img.ecm" can anyone tell me what they're for? because it doesn't load in ePSXe, PSXeven, or pSX. I had a small hunch that it might have something to do with a PSX to PSP conversion file or something, but it was obtained with quite a few other regular PSX games... plus the file came with a .ccd and a .sub like a normal .img file sometimes will. I tried to convert it all to an .iso and a .bin and neither of those worked either. any information?

When I load up Chrono Cross or FF9 (the only two games I have tried so far) on ePSXe v. 1.7.0 for some reason the sprites jiggle in spots. I don't really know how to better describe it. The FMVs and the backgrounds and the text and the menus all look perfect. But, for some reason the character sprites textures sort of pop in and out. It is all over their bodies, but in small patches. Like one of their feet the top part will disappear and reappear rapidly non-stop. It does this all over their bodies. I guess I need to find a way to video capture it. I am probably doing a horrible job of describing it. If anyone knows what I am talking about and how to fix it please let me know.

So I just found the PEC plug in, followed its steps as it is expressed in various locations including its help file. The codes are correct for i have verified it in the codelist file. But when i try to send the codes to the plug in it says that i dont have the correct game. or verbatim " The game in your drive is not the same as the one you selected" and it goes on as to how the code will not work, and indeed it does not.

The game i am trying to play is Digimon World.

anybody have an idea why it wont recognize the game?
