Ripping FFX FMV's...(problems)

There is a fantastic thread in the archives about ripping FFX and FFX-2 FMV's, and I didn't feel like necro'ing an 18-month old thread.

And just for the record, the ISO I am trying to extract them from are 100% from my own disc of the game, so there shouldn't be any finger waving about 'yarr'-acy...:thumb:

It's weird because the FFX PSS-files are the easiest to rip, but VirtualDub is having one helluva time trying to open them (a.k.a. they don't appear to be compatible), even PSS Plex can't open them. And Windows Movie Maker won't open them either.

It makes me laugh because the FFX-2 FMV's were so hard to get to, but VirtualDub has no problems opening them. LOL...

Is/Has anybody had issues with actually being able to convert the FFX videos into something more PC friendly?

Some help in this matter would be greatly appreciated!
