please help me:the game is already set up but when I click new game nothing happens. I can't go further in the game. BTW this is game is Pokemon Ruby ... please help

okay i know im probably gonna get yelled at but ive been working on this for a while and have been getting past all the bumps in the road until now. so im trying to trade the original three pokemon to me on the same computer. im using vba link. i can see both guys in the union room or whatever. when i go to propose the trade though. it stops at "please wait a while...." and doesnt get past that. anyone have any suggestions? any help is greatly appreciated. ive been working on this all day and have slowly been figuring it out myself until now. thanks!!

Ok so i have my worked saved on a visual boy advance emulator but on an earlier version w/o the link and I am playing firered and leafgreen

I want to trade/battle with these files but if I download the program that gives me a link it creates a new emulator with neither files' data

So can Someone help me...

1. Transfer the data from the old emulator to the new one so I can use my files on the newer version that has the link option

or

2. Add the software that has link into my emulator that has the files

or

3. Get a code to evolve my pokemon w/o changing them

I'm trying desperately to get this working, and there is no real place on the web to look.

Me and my brother are trying to connect in the same house using VBA Link. First off, connecting to each other works fine. It appears that we have connected, and says that we have in VBA Link. The problem is when we are in game, the game doesn't seem to connect.

My brother is using Pokemon Leaf Green, I am using Pokemon Fire Red.

When we try trade, if we use the option of using Wireless Adaptor, my game resets when I walk into the pokemon center, or if I save on the top floor the game resets when I walk into the wireless union room. If we don't use the wireless adaptor option, the game just stays on waiting for the other trader, press b to cancel text.

I really have no clue what to do here, if this is not the right place to ask I would really appreciate being directed to the appropriate place. Thanks in advance!

Owkay maybe a weird thing.
But this weekend suddenly when i played pokemon lg or fr on vbalink 1.8 the the speed when i push the space bar isn't as fast as before. now i only get lik 190% when it used to be above 250 i think. So now it all runs very laggy when i push the space bar.

Does somebody know how i can make it run smoother again?

Also i don't know if this problem is actually cause by vbalink or my computer.

The problem isn't the rom, but rather the emulator itself. A simple solution is to run it in No$gba. Although it doesn't have savestates, it seems to be a smoother emulator anyways, plus it is capable of playing DS games. I'm a little disappointed that I made it so far while using VBA, but now I've pretty learned not to bother with it and use an emulator capable of properly running roms.

Well, I'm a VBA Link veteran, knowing most stuff needed for linking, but I'm tired of trading Pokemans. What I want to know is: Why does every single game that isn't Pokemon either runs at an inpressive lag, or doens't connects at all?

I know there's a special configuration for Pokemon, involving throttle, but it only works with it. It's like 106 throttle for the server, and 300 for client.

By the way, all games I try to play ARE in the compatibility list.

Is there some way to import your save files from vba to vba link and then making the in-game save work so that i can trade pokemon from another game?
I use for both vba's version 1.8! Or is v1.72 better?

Hey guys, sorry to bother you experts with such petty questions xD. But i got a problem
I open vba link version 1.7.2 i i link 2 up and all that, thats workin fine, but when im in the game and i go to the Pokemon centre to the lan part upstairs, for one of the ones it works when it asks me to save it, but for the other it sais "Saving error, please exchange you memory or somthing, anyway, how do i fix this, anyone help would be apprechiated, thanks in advanced,

p.s ' ive tried to change the emularot saving thing from 64 to 128k, made no difference'

i really want to buy the new pokemon battle revolution game, but i heard as far as getting pokemon goes it sucks, cant get your own pokemon unless you trade it from a DS which i do not posess. ive been playing pokemon games on VBA for a while now, and i was wondering if it was possible to trade pokemon from VBA to a wii, or a DS emulator to a wii ???

or if theres any other way to get the pokemon you want onto pokemon battle revolution

so i've been playing this game on VBA for the past two days and everything was running smoothly until tonight. I go to play the game and it says there is an error while loading the battery save. Is there any way i can still recover my save files? I looked in the "Battery Saves" folder and there seems to be a document in there for FFVI, but it still won't let me continue playing from where i was. Any help with this would be great.

Hello, I've been playing Final Fantasy 6 on VBA and there's a problem with the transparency or the background. Here's a screenshot of my game:


Basically those clouds should be white and semi-transparent.

Could I have some help fixing this please?

I've been trying to get the GBA features for
The legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages, but nothing seems to work.
I don't open the game through the gameboy, I just click file> open....
but it doesn't give me the features of the GBA.

Any ideas?
