The redump.org folks have created a new CDR plugin for PS1 emulators:
cdrX - my CD plugin fo ePSXe (PSXeven, PCSX, etc) (Page 1) - General discussion - Redump Forum (http://forum.redump.org/viewtopic.php?pid=21618)

Apparently can handle LibCrypt + USB drives (!)

As a side-note, you can find your BIOS checksum by burning a CD:
new program to identify PSX BIOS directly on console & control CD unit (Page 1) - General discussion - Redump Forum (http://forum.redump.org/topic/4991/new-program-to-identify-psx-bios-directly-on-console-control-cd-unit/)

psx model ripping

i was wondering if any of the psx emulators ,can work with 3d ripper dx . i already know pcsx wouldn't work , at least for me it doesn't XP.

-[update]-
i was looking into the debuger on pSX (psxfin) and found a rather interesting sight . i had captured a single frame from the game and looked though parts of it . i found a hierarchy of where a 3d model would be with a coordinate system idk

heres a mach up of what i found

Code:
---------
dma
   madr=(hex code)
   bcr=(hex code)
   chcr=(hex code)
   otag -i think it stands for object tag-
      0 words @ (hex address)
      9 words @ (hex address)
         polyt4  -my guess , it means its a poly-quad-
            rbg=000000
            xy0=340,84 -i think these are the X and Y coordinates to a single vertex of the quad -
            uv0=49,126 -but i dont get this , or where the Z coordinates are-
            ( 3 more sets of tags like the last 2 )
            tpage=0085
            clut=7880
            abe=0
            tge=1 -no clue what these last 4 properties are either-
   ( then it skips back up to the next "9 words @ (hex address)" )
---------
with some info on this and how to get it working i'll make my own program to extract the models if i have to. i just need the info on these prpoerties so that i can format them , and info on how to find these 'dma' objects while the game is running and save them to a txt file if need be

Megaman Legends 2....and any Video Files on CD-ROM or ISO?

Well, it has been some time since i last did any thing on Emuforums.com....but now i am back for another swing. I have been looking all over the place for this "Issue" that i am having...and i have had NO success with solving it. Here's the roadblock that i have run into: Is there even any Video clips (AKA .str) files on the Megaman Legends 2 discs? All i can find are the audio files (AKA .xa files)...but no video (i have not checked the Megaman Legends 1 disc though), Why is that? From what i have found is that when you are looking a the "Root" director of the game disc (or ISO...in my case the Disc) are these folders: COMMON, DAT AND XA. Well from what you can already guess...the XA Folder contains the, can you guess? IF you guessed Audio files...THEN YOUR RIGHT! But then again that's a given. Anyways...the DAT folder contains ALOT OF .bin files. and that's it for that folder. Can you guess what's in the "COMMON" folder? Well...There are just a whole bunch more of .bin files....NOOOOO. So here's the thing: When Sony made Megaman Legend 2 did they "Encrypt" the disc files so that they could not be used for any other use (excluding the audio files)? Could they have possibly gone and formatted them into a .bin file? OR...did they just go right ahead and build the video files into the game files them selves?
I really don't know....But i hope we can solve this Mystery Scooby Doo! Scooby Doo...where are you?

Anyways, if anyone has an answer to all this "Nonsense" then please write (or type) a post telling world....what exactly Sony did when they made the Megaman Legends 2 disc.
Thanks
