Hi. I've just started this game and it seems to work perfect so far (regarding graphics), what I was wondering is... Did someone played the game until the end?

PD: In NoGBA there were some errors like some glitches and some lines of text non visible but with Desmume everything is ok (except the sound but is not so important)

ThanksĄ

In FFIVDS, an occasional issue occurs. Whenever I go into my inventory, shops, or etc, the game does nothing, and locks in place forever until I reset the emulator or load a savestate. How can I fix this? :???:

Logitech Rumblepad 2 Problem

This is a great emulator with one problem for me. I cannot get it to support my Logitech Rumblepad 2 (PS2 type gamepad). The emulation works great. I have tried editing the file desmume.ini, and changing the controls, but I still can't get my gamepad to show up in the edit controls menu. And yes, I have tried the regular way of going into the options, and clicking, then pressing a button on my gamepad. Any help would be greatly appreciated. And please don't just say something along the lines of "you cant fix this".

Smart image filtering

I found this: http://web.archive.org/web/20070624082603/www.hiend3d.com/smartflt.html while searching about HQ2X algorithm.

This is smart texture filtering. Basically, it takes each block of 4 texels and filters it differently depending on its pattern, in order to keep borders sharp and achieve smoothness inside the borders. There are 14 possible patterns:

Image: http://web.archive.org/web/20070624082603/http://www.hiend3d.com/img/14.gif

Pattern 0: linear/bilinear/whatever smoothing on the 4 pixels
Pattern 1: smoothing on the top pixels, smoothing on the bottom pixels
And so on...

Here are the results with different filtering methods:

Nearest filtering:
Image: http://web.archive.org/web/20070624082603/http://www.hiend3d.com/img/Mode1.gif

Bilinear filtering:
Image: http://web.archive.org/web/20070624082603/http://www.hiend3d.com/img/Mode2.jpg

Smart filtering:
Image: http://web.archive.org/web/20070624082603/http://www.hiend3d.com/img/Mode3.gif

I thought it may be interesting to implement a filtering method like that, which can work on any image size, on DeSmuME's window, rather than all those filters which only work with fixed sizes (like HQ2X, HQ3X, HQ4X...).
And maybe later on it can get implemented in the Soft rasterizer, who knows...

Your opinions are welcome.

Support for multiple styluses?

Do you think you could add support for multiple styluses? Some games require it, like Hotel Dusk, where there's a puzzle requiring you to press two switches at the same time.
I'm not quite sure how you'd control two styluses, though.
No$gba's specifications note that the DS should return the average of the two values in this case, so I got past it by first switching on one of the switches, then pressing N to pause the game, and sort of switching on an imaginary switch in the middle of the two switches while holding N :p. Would be nice if there was a better way of doing it?
(Of course, just switching on that imaginary middle switch wouldn't work - you have to start with one of the switches)
