Ya I knew about that too. I was playing FF9 when the new version came out. There is a problem with an ending movie too. The part where the main character is running away from all the roots of the tree will freeze just after he jumps off the cliff.
It plays properly in 1.5.2 though. Hope the authors reading this, that fix version they speak of can't come soon enough.

Re: New ePSXe 1.6.0 released
For ever so long I had dwelled on the beta rumours of Hokuto no Ken running in epsxe...
Now, at last! Ohhhhh....! THANK YOU!!!! Compatibility for All Japan Women's Pro Wresting is a bit improved in 1.6.0 also.

Re: New ePSXe 1.6.0 released
Well, imports, anyway. Since I never used a modchip, the emulation scene was my first opportunity to check out a lot of these games, but it seems that more of them have issues in the various emulators than Western games.
Hokuto no Ken was running in VGS, but it is greatly improved by epsxe and Pete's gpu plugins (the game is machinema driven, so it gains a lot by enhanced presentation). All Japan Women's Pro Wrestling remains unplayable on all emulators (afaik), due to copy protections, though it gets a little farther than the opening video on epsxe 1.6.0. I've also noticed improved performince in several domestic games. For example, under 1.6.0., Tekken 3 and Ghost in the Shell both perform better, with much fewer gpu issues, and Fighter Maker seems to crash less frequently. In all, this update is really impressive. It's so very close to 100% PSX emulation, and really a big step up from 1.5.2.

Re: New ePSXe 1.6.0 released
I also confirm that Final Fantasy IX frezzes where deathnutz said but works fine in ePSXe 1.5.2, yes i was using an ISO and it was the PAL version. I was allmost tearing my eye's out until I searched the forums for info. All so the ISO dumped without any read errors reported is that normal?

Well! I have difficulty with new release of ePSXe
I have an Athlon 2100+ and the PSX games with ePSXe 1.6.0 are really very very fast, even I can not follow the games ![]() I had not this problem with 1.5.2 version. Any idea with extra speed? |

Re: New ePSXe 1.6.0 released
You need to enable the FPS limit in the graphics plugin.

Erf, if you don't even know how to open the plugin panel config, you're doomed
Open the emu Config > Video > Configure > Check "Use FPS Limit" and "Auto-detect ...."

Regarding the "cheat" option: the manual was written for 1.2 it's been removed (basically becuase it wasn't a cheat option at all
. If you weant to cheat you need to use a plugin called PEC, as Killjoy described above.
