Hi gigaX!
I think Gran Turismo 2 was working in older versions. At least it was working for me with ePsXe 1.52!

Re: New ePSXe 1.6.0 released

GT2 has some CD reading problems in 1.5.2 which were fixed in 1.6.0

True True. Well I'll set it up and try umjammer lammy, but I'm gonna be pretty dissapointed when it doesn't work. I'll let you folks know if it does though.
Ok, I just tested it out on PSXEven and just as expected. It doesn't work. Umjammer Lammy as usual, freezes at the loading screen prior to the actual game. Typical. I've only found one emulator that works with this game (adrPSX) and even then, it doesn't play well. (Too fast, can't hear guitar sounds" so, blah i say, and where is this new Epsxe version with the fixes I read of on there website?

Re: New ePSXe 1.6.0 released

To the others, check well how you install the new version or your hardware, because I never had any kind of problems with the old version and certenly I have none with the new one

Ok, well first, to answer your question, NO ePSXe only emulates the PSone. Look elsewhere for a PS2 emulator.
As for your comment regarding, reinstalling the program or checking my hardware; uh..yea that's it.
Here's some info for ya, certain games that sony released have something on them called "anti-mod" protection. These games are protected from being played on anything but a PSone. Currently, all emulators have problems running games that are protected by this. Sony is winning you could say. Fortunatly, emulators are starting to find ways to deal with these annoyances, and epsxe is one of them. The most recent release claims in the readme, that certain games "namly, Umjammer Lammy" have been fixed and should work now. Well, the readme lies, as I've tested this game and have had no success. A "fix" version as they call it (See the website) has been annouced which I'm assuming will address this issue as well as a few others.
So, there you have it. That's the problem here, and your humourous solutions arn't gonna do the trick.

Not at all, it's done to prevent playing on a PSX with a modchip

Are you saying that you've figured out a way to play these games on your emulator such as umjammer jammy? feel free to explain.

Read my post above regarding "anti-mod" protection for your answer.

Got my point?

Ya, I got your point. You can confirm that one game works. Nice. Really. Funny how that wasn't the games we were having trouble with. I was talking about games with anti-mod protection. GT2 doesn't have that obviously.

Re: New ePSXe 1.6.0 released

Well FYI, the cheat menu was just a debbug option... only made to fix some bugs in certain games... i guess it's not useful anymore

Exclamation BUG IN 1.6.0 and not in any other version

There is a bug in 1.6.0 that is not in 1.5.2 In Final Fantasy IX there has been problems with the video sequence when the cargo ship leaves for that "L" city.. anyways.. in 1.6.0 the video freezes and will not continue. However in 1.5.2 it woks fine. And from what I have been reading around the net is that it froze in all versions before 1.5.2. Just thought I'd let you guys know. Let me know if any of this info helps.. Thanks
