and nobody wants to know how well cloneCD supports your drive. it's more interesting, how well your drive (with your current firmware version) is functioning with the emu commands.

clonecd is just a possibility to check, whether your drive is supporting subchannel reading in general.

My Creative 52X (Model 5233E) works fine with subchannels, including on my CloneCD created isos...

1. made an image with clonecd with sub option checked
2. epsxe plugin with option checked

Just to add confusion to it all, I have an IDE LiteON 16x10x40 (LTR-16102B). It does not support subchannel reading with Pete's v1.10 CDR plugin. I used FF9 UK disc 1 to test, reading straight from the disc and creating a full SBI (took about 50mins) and choosing that both failed. This was with the original firmware I had (version OS0E) and with the latest flashed to it (version OS0F).

I'm yet to try using CloneCD to get the subchannel data (which I know it can in some form, it will make me a SUB file when creating an image) and converting, but I'm not hopeful.

Pioneer 114 and Mitsumi 4801TE both work fine. In about a week, when I get my Pioneer DVD-R/RW, I'll let you know.

My friend's ASUS 50X & ASUS 52X support sub-channel reading... but my ACER 40X do not support sub-channel reading.

I have Toshiba DVD-ROM SD-M1202, and it works fine with FF9, wich requires subchannel support.
