FFV Moore Forest visual issues

I'm in the moore forest in Final Fantasy V, and there are two problems I have noticed: the big transparent circle that would normally be around you in the forest is now black, blocking my view of the forest; and whenever I go into the forest, my framerate drops down to 30. What is this issue, and how do I fix it?

you need to use a software plugin, gsdx or peopsoft.

I've always been using peopsoft, and that never fixed the problem. Where can I find gsdx plugins? I just find PCSX2 stuff when I google it.

its the same plugin as whats in pcsx2.
