Suikoden 2 controls

Please I help! I have epsxe and Suikoden 2. the game loads perfectly but right after the opening movie I get the "press start" screen and none of my keyboard keys work, apart from that I have a "Logitech Rumblepad 2" attached to my pc and neither that works, please how can I configure either the joypad or the keyboard to play this game? thanks!
