Legend of Mana Problems

Hello... I am new here & I was hoping that you could help me with a problem that I am experiencing with the game "Legend of Mana". On the quest "The Wisdom of Gaeus" the game freezes without explaination when I reach Gaeus himself. I have tried a few different plugins but none seem to solve the problem. I even went as far as downloading EPSXE 1.52 in attempt to see if that would solve my problem... still nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated because I really enjoy this game & it is annoying me that I cannot play it due to this stupid glitch. Thank you all for your time.

Hmmm. Use pSX to overcome this problem and loading the game save back to ePSXe.
