the operating system (O/S) will do for now, we might need more info later on but we can hold off on that until its really necessary.

Judging from what you provided, I'd assume that your system is too weak for emulation :/

Please post your system info under:

right click 'My computer' -> 'Properties'
and tell us what CPU and RAM you have.

right click on desktop -> 'Properties' -> 'Settings'
and tell us what GPU you have.

my comp has 512 MB of RAM, and if CPU is measured in MHz, then it's 2.00 MHz. I cannot find the GPU

MHz CPU?? :O
I really hope it's 2.00 GHz

Regardless, I don't think emulator will work for you :/
You might have to stick with your console.

just run from your original disk, it should work.
Dump ISO from it is recommended, however, as the speed is much faster.

then just run from the ISO with ISO plugin.

However, if you cannot even run your BIOS, then the problem should be else where.
Did you try to redump your BIOS?

You connect your PS1 to dump the BIOS,
how did you get your BIOS if you don't even know what 'dump your BIOS' mean? xD

you cannot use your friend's BIOS, you need to own and dump BIOS from your own PS1.
