Why won't game close?

I tried Castlevania:SotN. It works fine, exept if I close the window, the game is still running and won't shut down until I restart the game. Once I start the game I have no choice but to restart my comp when im done playing.

Anyone know how to close it? Don't get any options when the game is running.

press the esc key when you wish to stop playing and then do file>exit from epsxe's GUI. it is important to point out that in addition to the problem you keep running into, not doing this can also compromise any save state or memory card data made during the session, so it is necessary that you always close out of epsxe correctly if you want to avoid this most unpleasant risk.
