Final Fantasy 8 - Boost Display Problem

I don't see the boost display for the Guardian Forces in Final Fantasy 8. I have epsxe 1.7. Anyone have any suggestions for this problem?

Do you press Select when you summon a G-Force? Do your G-Force have learned this capacity?
