I got around the issue, I had to go to version 1.5 of the emulator to get past that one part, do a save state and then continue.
For some reason, when checking the forumn that is a common crash point, right after beating the final boss. |

be careful with save states, while they are convinent in some places, you still might want to keep a file on one of your memory cards just in case. trust me on this one, dont rely on save states alone if you catch my drift.

Oh yah, I know that, especially since i am an early convert to RPG's, and follow the SESO principle since the mid 80's. Try losing progress in a game that takes 5 minutes to load to opening screen on an apple ][e.
Save states are great for dungeons, and xp sesions, just need to save regularly anyways, incase you get in a situation where you SS right before a 100% crash. But their appears to be some sort of compatibility issue with Dragon Warrior 7 on 1.60 that isn't there on 1.5. |

yes and there are quite a few games that just dont work well under 1.60, so i suppose this is one of them. what i do is i have both 1.5.2 and 1.6.0 saved onto my drive for situations like this.
