FF9 yet again... multiple issues, can't find answers...

I've got silly problems using ePSXe, but I can't find any answer in the forum.
Concerning FF9 itself, the game doesn't launch. I've tried ppf files as said in the FAQ it still doesn't work. Could someone explain me exactly how to use these files???
Then, concerning the plugins, i've been using pete's gpu OpenGL2 and I keep getting error messages such as "no buffer" or "missing render-texture extensions". (yeh, i'm sure it's quite simple but since i've no idea what it's about...)
Finally i have tried cdrPeops as someone suggested to deal with the patches but ePSXe crashes when I try to put some settings in...

Thanx for anything that could sort this mess out!!

Don't use Pete's OGL2 use OGL 1.76 instead, to play FF9 use ePSXe 1.5.2,
make the iso image of the game and use Run ISO or use Mooby 2 plugin and Run Cd command.
If it is still not working use ppf patch for your version of the game.

Yes it is, but i don't know what are you saying, if you can read from cd
you can make ISO too.

Yep sorry, my last reply sounds weird now I read it again.
What I meant to say was that since my burner doesn't work chances are that the ISO I get with my regular cd-rom player won't work well (or so it is written in the thread you linked me to) so I was asking if it was possible to play the game using the original CDs and not the ISO

Yes it is possible, you can use internal cd plugin but I suggest you to use
P.E.Op.S cd plugin because it lets you choose ppf patch.

When does it crashes (when you configure it or when you run the emulator)?
Make sure that you configure it right, but i would really suggest you that you make an ISO even with your cd drive,
after that you can use program called ppf-o-matic to apply ppf patch to your image of the game.

The P.E.Op.S plugin crashes when I configure it. But nevermind, the ISO seems to work fine for now!! (I just need to find a way to stop this slowdown when I open a menu in FF9)...
Ta for the help!!
