my answer is: look for a controller plugin that supports gamepads!

darth sephiroth, if you were paying attention, he is using ePSXe, which doesnt support controller plugins.

anywho...does the controller work in another emulator if you use a pad plugin? does it work in any other game or app at all?

hmm, i never needed to change it so i never noticed it didn't support that, what a drag

perhaps you will have to try another emulator?

oh yeah, then why do you have an "input plugins" section under "epsxe plugins"????++

Yes.. the controller works GREAT on my JNES, Snesx9, Visualboyadvance, and NeoRage X... I am not too familair with the different types of controllers.. i just picked one up that looked like a pS2 controller.. which it does.. It works on every other emu i have.. what can i do?

try using PSXeven, SSSPSX, or PCSX with harakiri's, nrage's, or the SSSPSX pad plugin.

Have you even tried ePSXe?

As for the original problem. This may be a long shot: but do you have any Saitek USB peripherals on your PC? Such as the Gaming Keyboard, Eclipse, etc? There are issues (that are easily resolvable) with certain programs and Saitek USB products.

Thats strange I have a saitek and the only emulator I can get fully working is epsxe

Btw does anyone know where to find a better controller, more like the psx controller, the saitek isnt bad, but its not that good either. Im only playing silent hill right now so I dont need perfect controll.

I STRONGLY recommend this here:

http://gallery.bcentral.com/GID51391...ecoil-Box.aspx

all the buttons you can need... PS2 controller layout..i use it but i dont think it works well with the epsxe emulator :cuss2:

however with nes, snes and gba emulators it will be a jewel

if you're looking to buy a new controller, then get a USB PSX adapter, so you can hook your PSX controller to your computer. it's more like the PSX controller, hell, it IS the PSX controller

In epsxe you can't use pad plugins (epsxe have built-in one) so if it is not working try to use different emulator.
For me the best plugins for PSX emulators are harakiri and SSSPSX pad plugins,
as for the emulators you can try using PSXeven, SSSPSX, or PCSX as hushypushy said.

i've two; i got one from lik-sang, and i got one from a shop in Japan. the latter might be a bit of a stretch, but you can always go to Lik-Sang (like Shendo posted).
