No but the way I understand what is being said here it seems like no game controllers are supposed to work.

Maybe I'm stupid but to me that sounds like controllers wouldn't be supported. Perhaps that just refers to specific plugins? Anyway excuse my ignorance on the subject.

ePSXe doesn't use controller plugins. Other emulators might use them, but since I've only ever used ePSXe and Bleem I'm not sure. ePSXe just uses it's own native controller support, as seen below.

And my Super Joy Box controller adapter works perfectly. Even though I can't get the rumble to work at all.

i cant see one post that says that. if you would quote where you saw that, then i could understand you. but saying that you read the thread and magically made a conclusion is some shady inference.

anyway, i'll guesstimate. ePSXe doesnt support pad plugins. but, it has its own one built in. so maybe you confused that, thinking that no plugins meant that it wont support controllers..who knows

There. But now that you re-stated that I actually get it now, sorry about that. I, at the time, wasn't sure of the difference between not supporting a controller plugin and just the controller itself.

right, once you realize that ePSXe has a built in controller plugin, then the whole puzzle fits into place

QUESTION I have a Hori Flightstick 2 that I want to use for playing Armored Core
games on ePSXe. I have drivers to use the thing and they work so I can
get the buttons on the joystick and throttle working but not the joystick
and throttle themselves. I have tried using the psxpad but the tune option
makes no sense. Please assist

No.

Install your controllers DRIVERS. There can only be one of two possible problems: the drivers are bad and your OS isn't reading them correctly; or two: you haven't configured your gamepad in Control Panel.

Do those two things before you try anything else. Trust me, if either of those two things don't work than you need to buy a new controller. I'm using my PS3 controller to play games, and all it needed was drivers.

DOin'2MUC, please do not revive old threads. next time use the search feature first and if you cannot find anything, make a new thread. i am going to wait and see what your response to cyrus!'s suggestion is but once you find a fix i will be closing this thread.

I know you said you tried "everything" however let me ask the stupid, and perhaps insulting, question. Have you mapped your controller buttons the ePSXe via the config->gamepad->portX-> utility?
